Ya know those days where all of a sudden you look around and think, “Wow, this is the perfect day. How did I get so lucky?”. Well this was one of those days. The weather was perfect, the sun was beautiful and the smell of fall was in the air. I had only been home from Texas for a few days and I was so happy to be under the same roof as Brady and the dogs. The beauty of the day was something I didn’t want to forget so I ran in and grabbed my camera so I could snap a few photos.  I can’t remember why Brady was in that crazy outfit but it just adds to the beauty of the day. I am pretty sure he went to the gym in that outfit as well. I love how care free he can be and doesn’t hesitate to do what he wants to do. We ended up spending at least two hours just hanging outside with the dogs and enjoying the afternoon. It was one of those happy moments that I really don’t want to forget.
So far North Carolina has been fantastic. Our house is almost all put together (record time so far) and it is by far my favorite house that we have ever lived in. I have had a lot of people ask me for a little house tour so once I put away the last of the junk piles, I will do that.
I also found out that I will be working on the surgical floor at the hospital and I will be starting on the night shift. I am very excited about being on the surgical floor but I am honestly not looking forward to working nights. I am sure that once I adjust to working nights it will be just fine but getting adjusted may be a little brutal for me. One positive thing about working nights will be getting to learn how to be a nurse at a little slower pace. I am so excited that I FINALLY get to start working as a nurse. It has really been a long road to get to this point.

Have you worked nights? What kind of advise do you have to a grave yard newbie? I’d love to hear so leave me a comment.
