In honor of Valentines Day, I wanted to tell you all a little bit about how Brady and I met.

My first official college class (where I was actually attending the University) was English 2010. In this class, I met a guy name Sam Burns and we quickly became friends. Little did I know, Sam would be a huge part of my life and he would soon introduce me to Brady. I actually don’t remember Sam introducing us but apparently Sam introduced Brady and I to each other in the student union building at Weber State. The first interaction that I remember with Brady was when he sent me a friend request on Facebook. I don’t typically accept friend requests from people I really know but I saw that we had a lot of friends in common so maybe we knew each other. After that, I ran into Brady while giving a tour of campus (WSU Ambassador days were so fun!) and he waved at me. I am embarrassed to admit it but I had no idea who he was. He sent me a message later that night and I felt dumb for not realizing it was him.

Fast forward a few semesters and it just so happened that we had a chemistry class together. I sat by him because at this point, he was a familiar face. We got to choose our lab partners and I somehow tricked him into being my partner. I also tricked him into giving me his number so we could study together (haha). Poor guy, I sucked at chemistry and ended up having to retake that class. I think I was a little preoccupied with my cute lab partner. 😉

Like any other relationship, ours has had ups and downs but I am so thankful for each. The downs have given us a change to improve/strengthen our relationship and the ups are the memories that warm my heart. Some of my favorite memories from the past 6 years include: exploring Alabama/Colorado, traveling to the Bahamas, New Orleans, Florida, Georgia and Hawaii. Seeing Brady work so hard to accomplish flight school and other incredibly difficult tasks that resulted in personal growth and having Brady support me and help me through nursing school. I am thankful and feel so lucky to have had Brady as my Valentine for the past 6 years and for many more years to come!
